Myanmar youth development charity is seeking to support the social enterprise Sanon training restaurant in Bagan, Myanmar.
Since March 2020 the training restaurant is now closed, staff are furloughed and our student training is suspended.
Myanmar Youth Development Charity and Myanmar Youth Development Institute are continuing to support our staff, students and their families financially during this difficult time.

how do I know mydc.org.uk is a genuine charity ?
Myanmar Youth Development charity has registered a charity bank account with Lloyds bank plc.
Our application for UK registered charity status is currently pending. This is because we have yet to meet their criteria of having raised the minimum £5000 to be eligable for UK charitable status. We hope to be able to rectify this soon and be able to publicly display our UK charitable registration.

how will i know where the monies i donate are spent ?
100% of your donation goes directly to the cause.
Both mydi.org and mydc.org.uk produce an annual report highlighting their total expenditure for the previous financial year.
mydc.org.uk annual report is due for publication in October 2021

What do mydi.org & mydc.org.uk need this money for?
mydi.org and mydc.org.uk will be using your donations over a number of projects. Initially we will be using donations to continue to support:
1. All of our staff who are furloughed
2. All of our students financially during the suspension of their training.
3. All the families of our students. We provide them with the
equivalent of $15 a month for cooking oil and rice
4. Our Burmese English Teacher Margaret aged 70 with a small pension.
5. Our rental payments on the training restaurant
We would normally provide this support via income generated through Sanon, which is why your support is requested
